Time to dust the cobwebs off of this bog.
It is March 1st. I am 38 y/o. I am still a physical therapist working
part time at a university outpatient clinic and part time at a home
health agency. I have agreed to pick up some hours at a local
chiropractor office as an independent contractor. My goals this year
(for the next 365 days) are to not spend any money beyond bills and
groceries. I have no idea how this journey will unfold but I am
committed to documenting it - successes and failures. My goal is to get
out of debt so I can more freely travel. I want to visit family more and
see the world.
My mechanism of debt over the last three years has been opening a clinic
(on a very small scale), but had the cost of commercial rent, equipment
and supplies as well as malpractice insurance and licensure fees.My
business model was atypical accepting cash only for PT. Marketing was
word of mouth. I still keep limited hours at night for a select amount
of patients. My other two jobs are part time and don't pay at a
competitive level, but offer flexibility and populations I enjoy.
So, my goal with keeping this blog is to keep me honest on my spending.
If it inspires (if anyone actually reads this) great, otherwise....here
we go.....
