o the question is: "What happens when three strong, beautiful women with amazing personalities and hearts that would give anything unreservedly, get together?"
So wow, that sounds really prideful, but the truth is as I was spending the evening with these two incredible girls, I was thinking how blessed I am with such amazing friends. They are of strong character, a love and passion for God, intelligent and beautiful. I am not sure how I am so lucky to be blessed with these two women in my life? Not to mention all of my other fantastic friends whose pictures are laced all through out this blog site and in my heart.
Sunday I woke up to a blanket of snow on the ground. My friend came down from Cheyenne and we bravely took to the roads to go to church and grab breakfast at my favorite place...Back Porch...mmmmmm...
Tomorrow, work. While I love work, I do awfully enjoy sitting on the couch working on Christmas presents, warm, with coffee and bundled.
I love Colorado Winters....when I am safe indoors.
Until next week.
The three of us. Kim, Janie, and me...after Janie worked her magic.
Janie does hair and make-up for weddings, magazine shoots and fashion shows.
She is such a talented artist. I tease and say that her medium is make-up, hair, and skin.
Oh, and Janie is a fantastic educator. She not only makes us beautiful, she teaches us how to do it again.
Time to share my story of Kim. Kim and I grew up together. I am older, so I tease and say We've been friends since she was born. We both went to the same church. Her brother is my age. Our moms are great friends and will load up the car to come out and visit us at the same time. Kim Got married to Josh (great guy) last spring. We had such a good time at that wedding. Kim is an OT at Children's in Denver. Talk about patience!
I believe the technique is called "little circles and windshield wipers". That's patented :)
The final product.
Oh yeah, did I mention Janie is a Diva? No. Really She's one of the founding Divas. You can call her Athena.
Ah. Don't stare too long. This is what a clean canvas looks like. Lisa, sans make-up.
My kindred spirit. I knew we'd be friends the day we met.
I am getting schooled!
See this face? It's Janie's trademark. Crazy girl. She is one of the most positive and happy people I have ever met!
This is us. Thank you Janie! What a fun evening.
